How to get a Library Card

You may get a free library card if you live within Oneida County. New residents must bring in a photo I.D. and proof of residence, (i.e. phone bill, water bill, rent statement, etc.). You will also need two local references. A temporary card will be issued for 90 days if patron does not have a current Idaho Driver's License. Only two items may be checked out at a time with a temporary card. After the 90 days, resident must show proof of Idaho Driver's License. Full library privileges will then be granted. Children must be over the age of 6 years old and be accompanied by a parent/guardian. You must show one form of I.D. and provide two references. There will be a $1.00 fee to replace any lost or stolen card.

  • More than 26,000 books, including the bestsellers, fiction and nonfiction.
  • Newspapers - USA Today, Idaho State Journal, Idaho Enterprise, plus many others online at lili.org
  • Magazines - Over 50 current magazines, both local and online.
  • DVDs
  • Audio Books

Year Round Hours*
Mondays - 11:30 am to 6:00 pm
Tuesday to Friday - 11:30 am to 5:30 pm
Saturday - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
*Closed Holidays & Other Days for Meetings, etc.

Ciruclation & Fines

Books 2 Weeks $.25 per day per item
Magazines 1 Week $.25 per day per item
DVDs* 1 week** $1.00 per day per item
Audio Books 1 week** $1.00 per day per item

 

No Item may be checked out if fines exceeds $5.00 Per Family

*Checkout Limits - 5 DVDs Per Family

**No revewals are allowed for Videos

If you damage or lose a book or material, you will need to pay for the item plus a $5.00 handling fee.

 

eBooks & eAudio Books 

The Oneida County Library has eBooks and Audio Books available to your through Overdrive. We joined with several Idaho Libraries (Idaho Digital Consorsium) to bring you online books. All you need is your library number and you are on your way. Click here to find out how....

The SORA App

The SORA App, by Overdrive, is sponsored by the Oneida County Library for use in the Oneida County School Districts Brick & Mortar Schools for all students K-12. Students can access eBooks & Audio Books available   from our library Overdrive collection, plus the IDEA Collection from the Idaho State Commission for Libraries.
